Aim of Chess

Chess is a two player strategy board game. Is about planning, attack and defense with the opponent. You have to capture opponent’s King without letting them capturing yours. Your aim is to put the opponent’s king in such a position that it can’t escape from your attack. This is called checkmate.

The game chess is played on a chess board. Chess board typically represents a battle field where the opponents fight each other until one of the King is captured in such a way that the king can not escape opponents attack which is called checkmate . The pieces represents various strengths, abilities to move and different style of attack and defense.

The game chess could have probable been derived from the Indian game Chathuranga. The pieces represent different branches of armed forces such as chariots, elephants, horses and infantry.
